Online teaching also lacks the iterative process that classroom teaching enjoys, the ability to adjust what you’re teaching with each class. But to me… well, I’m still very excited to hear that they like my course, but I don’t get that teacher/student interaction that I value, unless they ask a question or show me a really cool model they made, like the Spocktopus. To them, I’m a friend they get to hang out with regularly. They’re just following along with some videos I made almost a year ago.
