Whether you are a total beginner looking for a start in the world of manga art, or are looking for a refresher on the foundations of drawing manga characters, this is the course for you! Start a character from scratch and learn the basics of finding ideas, sketching anatomy, detailing expressions, and shading. Join us for this summer 4 session course in the basics of manga character creation for beginner manga artists. Manga Workshop: The Basics of Character CreationĤ Wednesdays, June 30 – July 21, 4-5 PM EDT (Online) Calculate your local time Please note that all times listed are New York time (ET). Further instructions will be provided before each course begins. These courses will be conducted online via Zoom. To participate fully, you will need access to a device with internet, microphone, and camera (such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet). He holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in illustration from Columbia College, Chicago. Inspired by Japanese anime, manga and street art, he works with various media, from digital illustration to traditional paintings to murals.
